For the English speaking readers- Happy New Year! Good luck for the next EVS volunteer(s) in Varese!
So I’m back in Poland. I finished my work in Varese, in Gavirate, in Malnate. I've managed to conclude my main works. But as usual there are some things not finished, that will find their end after my departure. How will proceed "CESVOV per tutti" project? What about informative meetings on work in Switzerland, on creating one's business and so on which will be organized in Gavirate? What about new laboratory of ceramics- is it going to be carry on? But now I'm in Gdansk, I continue my studies, I’m meeting my old friends, I’m looking for a job. I feel like in a dream, I have to get used to again. There is a cold autumn outside. I miss Italian temperatures! Anyway I would like to thanks all my Italian friends and, you have to understand, I’m going to do it in Italian. E’ come vincere un Oscar. Si deve e si vuole ringraziare. Allora. Volevo ringraziarvi tutti voi per l’appoggio che mi avete dato, per il tempo divertente che abbiamo passato insieme e per le consulenze linguistiche! Volevo scrivere un ricordino a ciascuno, ma ho paura di dimenticare le cose importanti e poi, queste sono spesso le cose private da non dire al pubblico. E non voglio farmi vedere troppo sentimentale.  Saluto a tutti voi- alla Chee Mei, alla Rocio, al Max, ai dipendenti del CESVOV, allo staff dell’Informagiovani/Informalavoro, alle educatrici ed agli educatori de La Finestra, a tutti miei amici e mie amiche, colleghi e colleghe, a tutti quanti che hanno fatto la mia permanenza in Italia così bella e indimenticabile! Ci rivediamo!
Max convinced me! Yesterday we had another party at home. This time it was my good-bye party. It was even crazier than the last one. We could see unknown faces of Max (interesting!) and of Riccardo (scarrying!).
Now I’m extremely tired. Perfect state for preparing luggage. I woke up today with my back blocked- I couldn’t move for a couple of hours. And I was just dancing day before!
I’ve started wondering- who will substitute me in this house, in this work? On the contrary to the previous girls I have no answer yet. Chee Mei says that next volunteers will come not before the spring (because of some burocratic practices need to be done before considering new candidatures).
I hope you won’t feel lonely in the house, Cheem. By the way we should to give it a name. It was so charming, so cozy to have “Casa Grizetti”.
How to call the new apartment? Some proposals?
That question became an obsession these days. I have to put nine months of my life into one case which weight must not exceed 20 kilos. And into one backpack of maximum 8 kilos. Summarized- I’m allowed to take with me 28 kilos. It’s impossible!
So I’m choosing things to be left here. Maybe one day Cheem send them all to Poland, maybe I will be back to take them by myself (hmmm, it’s not so bad idea!).
For sure I won’t leave all those beautiful presents I received! In every place I worked I received good-bye gifts. It was so moving for me, especially that I didn’t expect them.
Thank you all! No matter how heavy they are, I can manage!

Yesterday we had an official inauguration of the new volunteers’ apartment. CESVOV invited local press, representatives of the organizations who cooperated with CESVOV’s European volunteers and some young Italians who did/want to do an EVS project. It was a good reason to recapitulate CESVOV’s involvement in the EVS programme.
I prepared for that occasion a little presentation of all my activities during the service to give the concrete example of an EVS project.

Everybody asks me when I’m leaving. Indeed I’m going back to Poland soon. It’s time to say hello to all my friends, to enjoy the last moments at work and at home. The consciousness that something is going to finish changes a lot your perception. I feel a kind of calm sadness, a melancholy, because I like my life here, I like people I’ve met here and I regret that I have to leave it all behind me, but, on the other hand, I knew from the beginning it was going to be just a period of my life. Anyway I’m trying more than ever to “absorb” the atmosphere of the place, to watch everything carefully, to remember it better.
These were my feelings, but what happens on the level of the reality? Looking through my old posts I’ve noticed that recently I had written nothing about La Finestra and Informagiovani. You could think that nothing happens there and that’s not true. I was so busy with the EVS website that I forgot to tell you about more routine things. It’s because my tasks there have a regular, weekly rhythm.
As usual I’m going every Wednesday afternoon to help with artistic laboratory and I feel to be more and more familiarized with people there. Yesterday I’ve even heard a voice of a girl who spoke never to anyone. She told me with a clear voice “leave me alone”, because I insisted to help her with something and she got angry with me. Ok, it wasn’t very friendly, but I was very pleased that she was able to express her wish.
At Informagiovani I put data on their website (job offers first of all) and occasionally I design for them posters for their events. I like that work very much! I will really miss it.
Nasty weather. It rained two days without any break (it has stopped just yesterday). Wet jacket, wet trousers, wet shoes and even wet socks. And I have cold. I took two days off and I’m trying to get well. The raspberry juice (the famous ingredient of the vodka drink last week) helps me. And milk with garlic. And vitamins.
Poor Iwona! She came to spend her holiday with me and she found the weather like this. It’s not what you’re expecting when you’re going to Italy! At least at the beginning of her staying here it was better. We could walk in the mountains and we had a picnic there. But later... Fortunately she took with her some sweaters, blouses and so on.
Yesterday despite the illness I went to walk a little bit with her and we’ve gathered some chestnuts. I prepared them today in the oven. Have I done something wrong or are they normally so tough? Anyway they were quite good.
Oh, and finally I know the results of my language exam. At the beginning of July I was doing a CILS exam, one of the tests of Italian as a foreign language. I’ve passed B2 (intermediate) level with the result 87/100. What describes language skills I had four months ago. As I imagined the written part went better than the oral. Am I ready to C1?
Have I told you that English version of the website is ready? Therefore, it’s ready. Riccardo, thanks for cooperation!

Because of the first World Contraception Day the Italian Society for Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SIGO) presented the results of the research on contraception. The questionnaires were completed last summer by 1100 girls. Seems that 50% of women don’t use any protection and use "methods" like coitus interruptus. No comment. Ok, maybe two.
1) I didn't expect that result (maybe in Poland, but not in Italy).

I just want to say that we, Cheem and me, organized a party for our friends and colleagues to warm a little bit the new flat. I think that was also my goodbye party. I'm leaving soon and probably it was the last chance to see all them together. The house was full of people, but fortunately was big enough. We had a lot of fun. I won’t show you the photos, because I promised some of our guests I wouldn't do it.

I've started an intensive work on the new EVS website in Varese. And since the last week those who speak Italian can admire the effects. This blog is one of the parts of the site. And to say the truth- all posts older than the first one of Iliana (koszalin sto arrivando!) are fakes. The former volunteers used to write the diaries which were put on the old website. I've just moved the old articles from the diaries on the blog. We wanted to keep the experience of all volunteers and give them an opportunity to add something new if they would like to. So the aim justifies me. :) I hope we will hear from them.
We are preparing now the English version. I've already done my work: I've written the contents and I've spent them to our technician. There is a need to wait a little bit till he put them on the site.
